that was a decent hit movie and many times telecasted in tv.
so i assumed that they would hav watched it atleast once in which case there is all chances for them to have heard/overheard this song. that song actually worked in sych with the camera to show the pottal'kaadu in that story. adhaan shock'u.

Palakkad Sriram is MG Sreeram (Karisal tharisal from dhaaj magaal)?

Neenga sonnaa sariyaathaan irukkum but I am positive its MV's voice in KPK. Yugendhiran dhaan sollanum..

Palakkad Sriram is different from MGS (MG Sreekumar). PS is the one who sung "Thiruppachi Aruvaala" & "Thaiyya Thaiyya". I remember seeing Sriram's name in Kaadu Potta Kaadu credits in a website (will search for that). I think Sriram is the third singer in this song.

K Bhagyaraj, a case of 'guruvai minjina sishyan', had been spectacularly successful for a period in TF. He started his career as assistant to Bharathiraja (also writing script / dialog etc for some movies, giving voice for the village doctor in 16 vayadhinilE, a small pattikkAttan role on screen in KPR - RadhikA'kku vazhi solluvAr - and a hapless bearer role in sigappu rOjAkkaL - gets killed inside rest room by the psychO hero) and became the hero in BR's movie pudhiya vArppukaL.

His first song as a hero, vAn mEghangaLE, had the voice of none other than our Malaysia Vasudevan Since then both shared a list of hits in a variety of ways, especially with KBR as director.

Let's celebrate this combo that was extremely successful in the early 80's!

KBR's next big hit after pudhiya vArppukaL was as a villain in 'kannipparuvaththilE'. This was a S A RajkaNNu production (who has a special place in TF history as the producer of 16 vayathinilE and also as producer of mahAnadhi - both landmark movies, it seems Kamal calls him 'mudhalALi'). KBR also did screenplay-dialog for this movie which was a big hit and the songs by Shankar-Ganesh played in every patti-thotti of TN, at times even eclipsing the contemporary IR hits.

Haven't seen the movie and so don't know who is on screen for each song (KBR or Rajesh). In any case, the big hit songs for MV were :

nadaya mAththu (MV / SJ dappAnguththu with typical S-G percussions) - listen to this and one can't help but appreciate the stylish delivery of MV

pattu vaNNa rOsAvAm (inspired by uchchi vaguntheduththu IMSO) - not a big fan of this number but I must acknowledge the phenomenal popularity of this number and an addition of variety to MV's kitty...

(BTW, my fav's from this album were SJ solos - adi ammAdi, one of S-G's best ever & AvAram poomEni -nalla thuLLal number)

yaaravathu KJY thread pakkamum vaanga, romba kaanch poi iruku
