    Dear Lakshmanji

    bhajare hanumaMtaM mAnasa bhajare -
This seems to be a traditional song and appears to be not composed by Shri Kanakadasaru (signature is kaginele Adikeshava/bADadAdi kEshava NOT chennakeshava). But many websites have mentioned that it is composed by Shri Kanakadasa. Since it is traditional song - lyric will differ from person to person who wish to sing the song. Meaning of the 2 lyrics are almost similar.
Smt. Shyamala Bhave composed the music for the song sung by Shri Vageesha bhat, they have not mentioned Shri Kanakadasa, but mentioned as traditional.

    Listen to both versions here:

Here is a beautiful composition by Shri Purandaradasaru, referring to the men who pretend to be good by saying lies.
Every sentence explains the un-believable actions like cat preparing the food, frog dancing like butter fly, sowing the turmeric
powder in the soil to get fresh turmeric etc., all of them are lies.

    Lyric follows:

    rAga: pUrvi kalyANi/sohni
    tALa: Adi
    rachane: shrI puraMdaradAsaru

    suLLu nammallillavayya
    suLLE nammane dEvaru /pa/

    bekku bakkari mADodu kaMDe
    iliyu oleya chAchoda kaMDe
mekke kAyi kaMDenavva tekke gAtara (gaDatara) /1/

    kappe pAtara kuNiyoda kaMDe
    EDi maddaLe baDivuda kaMDe
toMDe kAyi kaMDenavva haMDe gAtara (gaDatara)
(mNasina kAyi kaMDe onake gAtara) /2/

    arishina puDiya bittida kaMDe
    gasegaseyannu eNisOda kaMDe
puraMdara viThThalana pAdava kaMDe parvata gAtara (gaDatara) /3/

    Meaning of the song:

LIE is not with us (suLLu nammallillavayya),
But it is our home diety (suLLe nammane dEvaru)

I have seen - is common for all (kaMDe)

The cat (bekku) preparing (mADOdu) the roti/chapati (bakkari)
The rat (iliyu) cleaning (chAchodu) the wood-stove (oleya)
The over-sized (tekke gAtara) mekke kAyi
Botonical name of mekke kayi - Citrullus colocynthis

The frog (kappe) dancing (kuNiyOdu) like butter-fly (pAtara)
The crab (EDi) beating (baDivuda) the drums (maddale)
The ivy gourd (toMDe kAyi) is in the size of very big vessel (haMDe gAtara)
    {The green Chilli (meNasina kAyi) is in the size of pounding pestle (onake gAtara)}

Sowing (bittida) the powder (puDiya) of turmeric (arishina)
Counting (eNisOdu) the grains of poppy seeds (gasegaseyannu)
PURANDARA VITHALA's feet (pAdava) is in the size of mountain (parvata gAtara)
