  It looks too crap..If it is the official one they would have links to the English, and hindi versions too..In thise case it does not...

  When he makes films like avvai shanmugi, michel madana..., devar makan __ kamal is like Kadavul. but when he is Mirugam he makes films like Guna, Hei Ram and ALAVANDHAN ...
  
  Till 80s English films mean the one that will a have bed room scene and a kiss scene. Since Kamal belongs to the youth of 70 - 80 he thought that are credentials to be an english Film so he did that in Alavandan to have a english film look.
  
  POOR FELLOW KAMAL...!!!
  
  he talks in english hindhi but not in tamil. Atleast in the hallucination sequences one character puts sub-title for his tamil movie Alavandan.
  
  he proudly walks out of the car fire like Terminator II - Judgement day... and do car races like Mad Max... but what an idiot he is...!! we have scene better TRUE LIES film making in Holly wood.
  
  Kamal a small word to you... The non english film makers.. Japan's Akiro Kuruseva and India's Satyajit ray were honoured by Hollywood NOT for duplicating are showing what best they can do like english films BUT for their own style of film making with their own cultural touch and emotions.
  
  Come of your slave complex and do good films of indian touch.
