At the end ramanathan leaves the family to live like his father in a retirement home and this is the end. Before that Muthu's dad Ramanathan tried to get Muthu remarrid for the 3rd time to another girl just to get Anni back, but this of course didn't happen. Muthu never got married but throughtout it look like he is going to but at the end it turns out it was a planned superise birthday party for Ramanathan. Ramanathan felt he wasbtrayed by everyone and he did apolozice to Anni.
