Hi, let me come straight to the point.
I've seen many tamil celebrities in India, giving interview in Tanglish which is TAMIL + ENGLISH. Some of them to be named. Meena, Vikram, though being an excellent actor, he had been giving interview in tanglish, and not only these two celebrities, there are many more to be mentioned. Well, i cant blame stars like Jothika, Simran as their mother toungue is not Tamil. So what are the reasons or excuses for those TANGLISH speaking stars?? Is it becuase they find english identify them as an educated star or they could become a standard celebrity?? Its totally nonsense!
If non Tamil stars like Kushbu and Devayani could be found speaking a better tamil, why cant pure Tamil stars cant?
Tamil is a beatiful language. C'mon, i am from Singapore and Chinese fellows here speaks better tamil than some celebrities.
I would like to say that i am not blaming all stars. Stars like Kamalhaasan, Satyaraj, Vijaykanth, Thankar Bachaan's tamil in interview are much more better. Especially Kamalhaasan. His normal speech will be seemed as if he is reading sentences from a tamil book. it will be that excellent of him.
I realised something, there's a big different in tamil spoken tamilans in India and tamilans in countries excluding India.
As for the "other" countries, i ould like to have Singapore as an example. Being a Singaporean, i had seen interviews by local tv stars here. Comparing their spoken tamil with India's "some" of the tanglish speaking stars, there's a huge difference.
Want to know the difference?

Singapore's TAMIL- They'll speak in a good tamil. But i do not deny that they'll aslo use english words in their speech. But When??? If they are stuck in the middle of their speech when they do not know which tamil word to use, they'll substitute it with an english word.

India's TAMIL- Its totally different from Singapore's style. They'll speak in good english. Whenever they are stuck with some english words, than only they'll use tamil words as a substitute.

Thats the only different.
You see, i am proud being a tamilan as Tamil is an excellent language. It make me know my culture more better. I thought me my basic manners. WE NEED ENGLISH, BUT JUST AS AN AID ONLY WHENEVER WE NEED THEM. BUT TAMIL, WE NEED IT AS CLOTHINGS, ALL THE TIME! BEAR THIS IN MIND

  I agree only 30 % of your statements as true ,
  You see , Meena is (malayali + telugu mix)
  vikram is also a telugu origin(also convent educated) and most of the actress are not tamil
  
  except sneha , rathi(who gives dubbing now for some actress) , radhika , saritha .. like this.
  
  And Tamilnadu had diffrent districts and each one got its own slang of tamil , some good one are madurai , thanjavur , kanyakumari ..
  
  coimbatore got its own unique slang of tamil.
  
  chennai is bit worst because of lot of other state people migrated there (still ) that makes it own slang in the main city that gives a bad name for tamil in Tamilnadu.
  
  So chennai is not the whole Tamilnadu to Judge .
  
  You have to see the tamil spoken in Madurai , Trichi , Thanjavur , Kanyakumari and out beautiful villages.
  
  In Tamilnadu we have excellent writers ,poets( not just cinema poets) who can still as skilled as sanga thamil period.
  
  And the best tamil spoken is one n only in Srilanka.
  
  So the contribution to Tamil from Singapore people is very little when we compared to all this.
