Director Vishnuvarthan opens up on ‘Arrambam’

Director Vishnuvardhan strongly believes that his films has to speak for himself , but the hype that was built around the title ‘Arrambam’ and the subsequent response that was accorded to the same had encouraged the director to open up a chat with the media , and here are the few points he shared for the media.

‘ I’m glad with the over whelming response i received for the title , the delay was unintentional , but we are glad that in a way that delay also increased the hype around the movie. Ajith plays the central character with an characterization of a valiant warrior. Arya and Nayanthara play important characters that circle around Ajith. Ajith sir is on his popular salt and pepper get up of ‘Mankaatha’. In fact i had requested Ajith sir to introduce that get up in my film only but Venkat prabhu over took me and the rest was history .This look suits Ajith sir so well and i honestly believe no body can match him in this style…This is an action drama, pacy and racy script. It will be much faster than our earlier film together Billa. This film will be an absolute entertainer , not only to Ajith sir’s fans but also to classes and masses alike’.

‘ஆரம்பம்’ படத்தில் ‘‘நயன்தாரா–டாப்சி இடையே சண்டை நடந்ததா?’’

‘ஆரம்பம்’ படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பின்போது நயன்தாராவுக்கும், டாப்சிக்கும் இடையே எந்த கருத்து வேறுபாடும் ஏற்படவில்லை. சண்டையும் நடக்கவில்லை’’ என்று டைரக்டர் விஷ்ணுவர்தன் கூறினார்.

‘ஆரம்பம்’

அஜீத்–நயன்தாரா ஜோடியாக நடித்து, ஏ.எம்.ரத்னம் மேற்பார்வையில், விஷ்ணுவர்தன் டைரக்ஷனில் தயாராகியிருக்கும் படம், ‘ஆரம்பம்.’ இந்த படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு முழுவதும் முடிவடைந்தது. பின்னணி இசை சேர்ப்பு வேலைகள் நடைபெறுகின்றன.

‘ஆரம்பம்’ படத்தை பற்றி டைரக்டர் விஷ்ணுவர்தன் கூறியதாவது:–

‘‘இது, ஒரு ஆக்ஷன் டிராமா. கதைக்கு பொருத்தமான பெயர் சூட்டப்பட்டு இருக்கிறது. ‘ஆரம்பம்,’ முற்றிலும் புதிய களத்தில் படமாகியிருக்கிறது. நான் இதுவரை டைரக்டு செய்த படங்களில் இருந்து மாறுபட்ட கதையம்சம் கொண்ட படம். அஜீத் கதாபாத்திரம் புதுசாக இருக்கும். அவரை, ‘கிரே’ கலர் சிகை அலங்காரத்துடன் திரையில் காண்பிக்க நான்தான் முதலில் ஆசைப்பட்டேன். ‘மங்காத்தா’ படத்தில் வெங்கட்பிரபு முந்திக் கொண்டார்.

கதை

மற்ற எல்லா படங்களையும் விட அஜீத்தை ‘ஆரம்பம்’ படத்தில் மிக அழகாக காட்டியிருக்கிறேன். அவருடைய ஸ்டைல் இந்த படத்தில் நிறைய இருக்கும்.

கதையை பொருத்தவரை ஒரு வரியில் சொல்ல வேண்டும் என்றால், இது ஒரு பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மனிதனின் போராட்டம் என்று கூறலாம். இதில், தாதாக்களின் கூட்டம் கிடையாது.

இந்த கதைக்கு மும்பை நகர பின்னணி தேவைப்பட்டது. பெரும்பகுதி காட்சிகளை அங்கேதான் படமாக்கி இருக்கிறோம். துபாய், குலுமனாலி, மத்திய பிரதேசம் போன்ற இடங்களிலும் படப்பிடிப்பு நடத்தினோம்.

நயன்தாரா

இதுவரை பார்த்திராத அஜீத்தையும், நயன்தாராவையும் இந்த படத்தில் பார்க்கலாம். நயன்தாராவை பொருத்தவரை சில படங்களில் காதல்–டூயட் காட்சிகளுக்கு மட்டுமே பயன்படுத்தியிருப்பார்கள். இந்த படத்தில் அவருடைய கதாபாத்திரம் முழுவதுமாக மாறுபட்டது. கனமான கதாபாத்திரம்.

இதில் அவரை காதல்வசப்பட்ட பெண்ணாக காட்டவில்லை. படம் முழுக்க வருவார். அஜீத் நடத்தும் போராட்டங்களுக்கு உறுதுணையாக இருப்பார்.

ஆர்யாவும், டாப்சியும் இன்னொரு ஜோடியாக வருவார்கள். இரண்டு கதாநாயகர்கள் இருப்பதால் இருவரும் சகோதரர்களாக நடிக்கிறார்களா? என்று நிறைய பேர் கேட்கிறார்கள். இரண்டு பேரும் சகோதரர்கள் அல்ல. இரண்டு பேருக்கும் இடையே எந்த உறவுமுறையும் கிடையாது.

சண்டையா?

பொதுவாக இரண்டு கதாநாயகிகள் சேர்ந்து நடித்தால், அவர்களுக்கு இடையே சண்டை வந்து விடும் என்பார்கள். ஆனால், ‘ஆரம்பம்’ படத்தில் அது நடக்கவில்லை. நயன்தாராவுக்கும், டாப்சிக்கும் இடையே ‘‘யார் உயர்ந்தவர்?’’ என்ற எண்ணம் ஏற்படவில்லை.

படப்பிடிப்பின்போது இருவரும் ஒன்றாக அமர்ந்து பேசிக்கொண்டிருப்பார்கள். படப்பிடிப்பு முடிந்த பிறகும் சேர்ந்து சுற்றுவார்கள். இரண்டு பேரும் நெருக்கமான சினேகிதிகள் ஆகிவிட்டார்கள்.’’

இவ்வாறு டைரக்டர் விஷ்ணுவர்தன் கூறினார்.
