CD has lot of great ideas, they might have been flawed in execution, but the fundamental intention is there and we should appreciate VJ/CD for coming up with a rare genre.

it's picking up steam now with family and kids and should be an easy stroll to another 100c for us.

Iam happy to see that negative reviews are turning in to positive reviews😊.hope this will reflect in our box office also

Negative reviews were from the ones with internet early after release.

majority of audience (in TN atleast) are family + kids, they won't have time to post their views

First Day: Superb Openings For Puli and Shivam

Vijay starrer Puli hit the theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Nizam areas from evening shows on Friday, 36 hours late than the scheduled date due to financial problems.

Despite the delay, Vijay's movie surprised the trade as the film got stunning openings for evening shows too.

In all areas, it got nearly 100 percent collections. But the film's talk is not encouraging. Poor man's Baahubali is the talk that it is getting from everyone as the visual effects are very substandard.

On the other hand, Ram's Shivam too got stunning day 1 figures in AP and Nizam. Since Ram delivered a hit with Pandaga Chesuko recently, he could get such fabulous openings.

But the movie might not stand at the box-office as it has received very bad talk and all the critics slammed the movie.

Watched it 4th time today !!! It's not a surprise for me to see family audiences for a Vijay movie. Response from Kids and families were better than I expected.

I feel bad for art director, VFX team, costume designers and cinematographer for all their efforts. Should have been a fantastic fantasy movie if CD and VJ have not compromised for VJ image. Worst comedies, unnecessary songs (Yaendi Yaendi and Sottaval), worst dialogues and poor flashback were the culprits. Movie also needed little more effort from Vijay in terms of body language and dialogue delivery. Kids were going mad for lilliput, frog, tortoise and fight sequences.

Songs were choreographed well. Especially the intro song. hope all VJ fans have noticed the single shot sequence in intro song !!!
