I think in Malaysia they do have canned rambutans.
    That might be cheaper
    Thanks, Kugan
Sure K...will try with thandu keerai...

I am not a fan of canned products... it can never be compared to fresh ones...

    Kugan's Kitchen Part 6

Oh Suvai, thanks for your nice post.
You can try the puli upma, it's nice to eat.
Only lot of work, nowadays children will complain with these types of dishes.
They say we serve them carbs in many forms.
Idli, thosai, puttu, idiyappam aapam upma and so on.
They prefer, cereals , sandwiches and more of healthy breakfast.

I am going on a spree to find out all about crack wheat cooking.
Then I will be serving crack wheat, idli, thosai, puttu, upma and even different types of pulaos
Till they come begging to change into carbs again
    Thanks and take care. Kugan

Suvai, try the bok choy, either stir fry or the Indian version.
    It will turn out well.

Thanks Dev, for your nice post.
Actually we are very dependant on electricity here too.
Rarely something happens, but we cannot tolerate even that short time.

My relatives have started using atukkal and ammi.
    That is a good sign.

I was very surprised, when I was in US last time.
We get all the things, that even in Malaysia, we do not get.
Be it Indian, Chinese, Korean or Malaysian.

Dev, try the dish with another keerai, it will turn out well.
    Thanks, Kugan

    Coriander Idli ( Kugan )

Here Suvai, try out the dish.
Very simple and tasty, a nice change from routine idli sambar.
    Kugan.

    CORIANDER IDLI

    Ingredients:

    1 tbs oil
    ¼ tsp mustard seeds
    ½ tsp urad dal
    1 medium onion sliced
    Salt to taste

To Grind To A coarse Paste:
    6 sprigs of coriander leaves
    2 tsp of grated coconut
1 tsp of roasted channa dal
    1 red chillie
    1 pip of garlic

    4 idli cut into cubes.

    Method:

Heat the oil add in the mustard and urad dal.
Let it splutter well, add in the onions, and little salt.
Once the onion becomes translucent, add in the ground paste.
Stir fry, till the raw smell goes.

Now add in the cubed idlis , more salt and toss nicely.
Remove and serve while still warm.
