Enchanging eighties - 1980s

The rise of Ilaiyaraaja dominated the 80s. There were occasionally other music directors who gave memorable songs in this decade, like Salil Choudhry, Johnson, K.J.Joy, etc. who composed for Tamil films too.

No doubt, the eighties were enchanting.

"kadalil alaigaL pongum"...just now having listened to dwijawanthi...i think it has a flavour of that raaga. I aint an expert in raaga, may be someone else would know better.

80s had rare music treasures, however sometimes burried inside depressing movies.

If I am getting it right, madhu-malar is the movie where the lady in lead role dies young due to cancer, I remember seeing a suhasini pratap movie, in one of the jaya or k or sun list of tvs ... 80s directors were all saddistic.
