and AA, did Atom Heart Mother come out before Meddle ... i thought both the albums were released in '71?

Think AHM came before Meddle...

And about Summer '68, what's peculiar about this song is the fact that its the most atypical Floyd song, nothing they'd done before this or after this sounds like this one...... the versatility!
