I was moved and electrified by that courage and conviction!!!
I am proud to be a thamizhan after hearing that awesome speech.
I was moved by Rohini's speech as well. I am glad that the movement has come beyond the glamoorous stars and has started making the real sensible sounds.
And Hats off to Bharathiraaja!!! Even if I have other opinions on some of his movies, his speech and his gesture of throwing Padmashri back to the Indian government was an awesome gesture. Wish we had more such people with backbones in politics as well!!!
Incidentally I happened to meet a Srilankan Thamizh gentleman in transit recently. I felt very sad after talking to him about what is happening in Srilanka right now. For all those stars who skipped the function - Thanks very much!! This was by far the best collection of emotional pleadings on the subject and to hell with political correctness..
