rajaramsgi - there are several old-timers who actually hate the fact that IR is a genius!
one of them I know personally - does not want to accept / believe that Salangai Oli and Sindhu Bhairavi were composed by IR !!
cognitive dissonance + arrogance (upper caste).
most of these ppl never fail to point out - how IR is so good at 'dappanguthu' (tacitly referring that as his only repertoire)
