    Reading TAMIL posts - guidance

Topic started by vazipOkkan (@ cache9-5.ruh.isu.net.sa) on Wed Mar 10 02:43:05 EST 2004.

To READ Tamil Posts, you have to follow these simple steps:

Step 1) Load 'e-kalaplai' (you will be installing the font 'TSC Avarangal' and a transliteration tool).

Step 2) Configure your Internet explorer.

    Ready?

Step 1: click on this hyperlink. DO NOT restart the system once the installation is finished. (I will tell the reason later.)

    http://www.tamil.net/newtamil/ekalappai_1.html

    Step 2:

    > Open internet explorer.

    > Under the menu, TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS > FONTS, u choose the web-page front as 'TSC Avarangal' and Language script as 'Tamil'

    > As a finishing touch, just ensure that, in the internet explorer, under menu VIEW > ENCODING > MORE > u choose USER DEFINED.

This is ENOUGH to READ tamil posts.

if u r doing these exercises from commercial browsing centers, please do not restart the system, 'coz their recovery tool will wipe away whatever changes u have carried out.

If you would like to go further like WRITING, please seek elaborate guidance from

this is a very good tip - especially for those who cannot post in tamil. occassionaly the older versions of murasu gives some problems.
    thanks vazipokkan avarkale!

For the benefit of those who are not adamant not to post in Tamil and do not actually know how to post in Tamil.
