Dear Mr.Vasudevan - many thanks for your welcoming messgae - it gives warmth and feel good factor - Its really awesome to see the way all of you contributing to this thread . This thread is worth visiting and reading again and again . This thread also a great stress reliver when you want to unwind - it is all about a great legend still lives in all our hearts ever green . The unjust done to him or to his films in the past and his present is always occupied my mind and when I read news from all of you , it gives me a new lease of thought . I have met NT two times and could speak to him for 10-15minutes during his busy schedule - I feel a great achivement by often recalling this events - unfortunately no Click was done to preserve . Had he given some reasonable gap between release of his movies , in my opinion each one would have run more than 100days or witnessed silver jubilees and secondly after karnan - as shared by others the next movie should be done very carefully - sorgam may not be a right choice - karnan has run for its value and acting and lots of lessons to learn for today's generation but no such valuable stuff in sorgam . Hope some wisdom would prevail to those who undertake this task so that karnan's success can be repeated for all NT movies to come - with kind regards

Thank you for the compliments.
KARNAN = rerelease is a different story. It was a step taken in the new direction to present NT to the new generation and through him the Indian culture and the innovation and technological advancements were made use of. Sorkkam whereas, marks a continuous process of rereleases in line with other classics - in as is where is - format. Both are separate and at the same time parallel ventures.
There is no need to worry about them. Digitisation - or application of any other such technical advancements for any film of NT or any other classic is the order of the day, agreed but it may involve only a handful of projects. And the reception they might receive would be different from the regular re-release of other old films.

So don't worry re=release of old classics of NT in the original format will not affect the major projects.
