மக்கள் திலகம் மறைந்து இருபத்தைந்து ஆண்டுகளுக்குப்பிறகு,
தலைவர் மறைந்து பன்னிரண்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்குப்பிறகு,

நடிகர்திலகத்திற்கென்றே பிறந்து வளர்ந்து வாழ்ந்த குரல் ,தன்னை மட்டும் வாழ வைத்து கொண்டு ,தன்னை வாழ வைத்தவரை கை விட்டு விட்டது. நான் என்ன சொல்ல போகிறேன்?எத்தனை rafi ,kishore ,S .P .B ,P .B .S வந்தாலும் ஒரு T M S T M S தான். கம்பீரம்,கார்வை,பாவம்,அந்த காந்தர்வ குரல் lower முதல் mid -Octave(Bass - மடி மீது தலை வைத்து, உன் கண்ணில் நீர் , baritone -யாரந்த நிலவு,மலர்ந்தும் மலராத,தூங்காத கண்ணென்று) வரை அப்படியே சொக்க வைக்கும். சில fine musical notes miss ஆனால்தான் என்ன,இவர் உரை நடை பேசினாலும் மற்றவர்களை விட இனிமையே.
அவரை இழந்து வாடும் எனக்கு முதலில் ஆறுதல் சொல்லி கொண்டு , அவரது குடும்பத்தினருக்கு எனது ஆழ்ந்த இரங்கலை தெரிவிக்கிறேன்.
ஒரு முறை வாமனன் சாரிடம் இவரை பார்க்கும் ஆசையை தெரிவித்தேன். இல்லைப்பா இவரு கொஞ்சம் ஒரு மாதிரி. சமயம் பார்த்து சொல்றேன் என்றார். இனி சொர்க்கத்தில் சந்தித்தால்தான் .
எல்லோரும் அவசியம் படிக்க வேண்டிய அற்புதமான bio graphy T .M .S ஒரு பண்பாட்டு சரிதம் .எழுதியவர்-வாமனன்.

The Performance Era of Tamil Cinema Spans for about 49 years.

Tamil Films have undergone a complete transition from a music dominated presentation to Performance dominated Presentation that had music as one component.

Thanks to the advent of Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan. His entry into films has completely changed the way things were looked at in those days - Prior To Sivaji.

All Schools of Talents were mastered by one individual named Sivaji Ganesan. He taught Tamil Cinema how to speak the way anything to be spoken, he demonstrated the art of expression and conveying the multiple dimensions-of-feeling of a human relationship, Be it is a husband, lover, brother, uncle, stepfather, young turk ....what not...what not !

Though, there were many veterans who had the capability to showcase...were experts of either one domain or couple of domains and it would not be wrong to mention NOT ALL DOMAINS MASTERED.

Nadigar Thilagam, the first and the only actor who took cinema to the next level in-terms of portrayal even though there were many who out of Professional Jealousy & inferiority complex ensured Betrayal from time to time .

Nadigar Thilagam, the only actor who took Tamil cinema to an international level and not just taking it to the level BUT also ensured it won its distinction and mention !!

It should be admitted that Winning THE BEST ACTOR in the whole of ASIA-AFRO CONTINENT is not just an easy task...Amidst, so many foreign films and better exposed seasoned performance of actors from across the globe, if Nadigar Thilagam could win it WITHIN JUST 7 Years of his coming into the film world that too for his 55th film, am sure, every individual if unbiased and neutral, will accept his capability.

The Second International Distinction for Nadigar Thilagam was in 1962, when he was invited by the Govt of John. F.Kennedy , the then president of United States of America Ambassador representing the Indo-US Arts & Culture Exchange Programme and was made the ONE DAY MAYOR for the City of CAIRO and presented with the GOLDEN KEY OF CAIRO. It is 2013 now & till date NO INDIAN ACTOR received this honor. The Other Indian who was honored with this distinction was Our Indian Prime Minister Pandit Shri. Jawaharlal Nehru.

NT proved he is not just equated with the word famous Regionally (or) Nationally BUT ALSO ACROSS ASIA, US & EUROPE much..much to the ENVY OF OTHERS !!!

This did make other actors / politicians who were always backstabbing him at appropriate opportunities to fume more and more on his professional achievements !!!

The Biggest Achievement which NO OTHER ACTOR could achieve was that making a Rationalist leader who hated Cinema & Actors (whom he addressed as Koothaadi's) to get mesmerized with his performance to the extent of declaring and conferring him on stage the eternal title of "Sivaji". Such was his calibre.

Tamilnadu history may have different views interms of their versions of Nadigar Thilagam Performance that's a different story entangled with political biases, yet all Tamilians at the corner of their heart will confess and feel guilty of their low esteem.

Nadigar Thilagam had no complaints on this yet if we think for a while, we all will realise that POLITICIANS WERE BETTER ACTORS than ACTORS OF ALL AGES !!

Nadigar Thilagam - ANYONE CAN LIKE HIM - ANYONE CAN HATE HIM - BUT NONE CAN IGNORE HIM !!!!

During his period, NO ACTOR's History (or) Political Involvement gets completed without mentioning NADIGAR THILAGAM..! Such was his prowess !!

TMS. Thaen Madhuram Sindhum (TMS) kuralukku sondhakkarar. The Singing Voice of NT like Rafi for Shammi Kapoor, Mukesh for Raj Kapoor and Kishore Kumar for Rajesh Kanna and AMRaja/PBS for GG. But he was unique in modifying his NT base voice to suit MGR or Jaishankar or Ravichandran! Long live TMS fame! Our sincere condolences to this doyen of Tamil Cinema's Play Back history. Unforgettable 'Engae Nimmadhi', Aaru Maname Aaru...... tear jerkers!

திரு T M சௌந்தரராஜன் அவர்கள் நம்மிடையே உயிருடன் இல்லை என்றாலும் அவருடைய குரல் இந்த புவி உள்ளவரை நிலைத்து இருக்கும். நடிகர் திலகத்துடன் திரு சௌந்தரராஜன் அவர்களுடைய குரலும் நடித்தது என்றால் அது மிகை அல்ல !
மக்கள் திலகம் அவர்கள் அரியணை ஏற முக்கிய ஒரு காரணம் திரு.சௌந்தரராஜன் அவர்களது குரல் பட்டிதொட்டி எங்கும் சென்றடைந்ததும் ஒன்று என்றால் அது அனைவரும் ஒத்துகொள்ளகூடிய ஒரு விஷயமாகும். அந்த அளவிற்கு அவருடைய குரலின் வலிமை ...நான் ஆணையிட்டால் அது நடந்துவிட்டால் என்ற பாடலாகட்டும்...தர்மம் தலைகாக்கும் தக்க சமயத்தில் உயிர்காக்கும்....ஓடி..ஓடி..உழைக்கணும்...ஊருக்கெல்ல ாம் கொடுக்கணும்..மூன்றெழுத்தில் என் மூச்சிருக்கும்...அது முடிந்தபின்னாலும் பேச்சிருக்கும்...திருடாதே...பாப்பா..திருடாதே...தூங ்காதே..தம்பி..தூங்காதே...இப்படி முக்கால் வாசி பாடல்கள் பட்டிதொட்டிஎங்கும் மிகுந்த சக்தியாக ஒலித்தது..என்றால் அது மிகையாகாது..! அதே போல Jaishankar, Muthuraman, Nagesh, Rajini, Kamal, sathyaraj, Vijayakanth ஆகிய அனிவருக்கும் அவரகளுடைய குரல் வளதிர்கெற்றால் போல பாடி இருப்பார்...

திரு.சௌந்தரராஜன் அவர்களின் கடினமாக உள்ள பாடல்களைகூட சர்வ சாதாரணமாக பாடும் திறமை நமது நடிகர் திலகத்தின் பல திரைப்படங்கள் வாயிலாக பெரும்பாலும் வெளிகொண்டுவரபட்டது என்றால் அது மிகையாகாது...பாட்டும் நானே....சுந்தரி சௌந்தரி நிரந்தரியே ....இசை கேட்டால் புவி அசைந்தாடும்..யார் அந்த நிலவு...எங்கே நிம்மதி...மாதவி பொன்மயிலாள் தோகை விரித்தாள்...சிந்தனை செய் மனமே...சின்னஞ்சிறிய வன்னபரவை என்னத்தை சொல்லுதாம்மா...எல்லோரும் நலம்வாழ நான் பாடுவேன்....சோதனை மேல் சோதனை...சட்டி சுட்டதட...கை விட்டதட..who is the blacksheep..அது யார்..யார்..யார்..இப்படி பல பாடல்கள்..திரு சௌந்தரராஜன் அவரகளுடைய பல திறமையை வெளிக்கொண்டு வந்தது..!

அதே போல ...இரவு வரும் பகலும் வரும்...அன்புள்ள மான் விழியே...மெட்ராஸ் நல்ல மெட்ராஸ்...வீடு வரை உறவு...வீதி வரை மனைவி...மதுரையில் பரந்த மீன்கொடியை ....மற்றும் பக்தி கானங்கள்...புல்லாங்குழல் கொடுத்த..அழகென்ற சொல்லுக்கு முருக...கந்தன் திருநீரணிந்தால்..போன்ற பாடல்கள் என்றும் மறைய அமரத்துவம் கொண்டது...!
