Viewing the movie in the theatre may reward the cine industry with income- somehow not feeling guilty enough to rob already very rich cine people of a few bucks!!!

I agree with Honest Raj
I don't think any movie should be given tax free.
They are already earning in crore but they don't pay tax but we will have to pay tax for each and everything . Completely unfair

This ET exemption should actually benefit the viewers. The ticket rate has to be slashed but no theatre does it. They get the benefit. At least Chennai theatres have an upper slab of 120 Rs. Outside Chennai, theatres can charge whatever they want for the first 14 days. Movies of the big 5 get rates above 200 Rs. For example, Kaththi ticket rate is 200 Rs in Tirunelveli. This tax exemption will help them to maximize their profits.

When we do something and say the reason is 'Mr.X' is doing this and hence there is no wrong in me doing it, we lose the right to point our fingers at 'Mr.X' anymore. Then even 'Mr.X' will have his side of the story putting the blame on someone else.

thirudan kitta irundhu thiruduna thappe illai - if only the thirudan is affected it is probably all right. But maybe that is not the case over here. A better way to protest would be to stop watching movies rather than supporting the pirated versions.

All are part of our culture. It is difficult to eliminate piracy. No one is interested these days to spend a fortune for a movie. Internet connection is readily available.! Thiruttuvcd is an old form.

Watching an illicit copy and then claiming moral high ground is utterly contemptible.
