Thanks Ramya for your nice post and feed back.
I feel very happy to hear when someone says that they enjoyed the dish.

The coconut pulao and kurma recipes were request from Rose.
The dish was very tasty, try it out when you have the time.

I really feel proud of you, for managing the house with 2 kids,
and taking care of your blog.
Not that easy to cook, take pictures, type the recipe and post.
Keep up your good work. Thanks and take care, Kugan

Aarthii, you can try the bread with whole wheat flour alone.

Try the pulao and the kurma.
    Thanks and take care, Kugan

Oh! Dev, how are you and every thing?
I really miss you in the forum.
Is the little ones school very far from your mom's place?
When will you be going back?

Dev, I felt very bad that I forgot all about your cabbage rice
Also the brownie recipe that you wanted

So I made it today and will post the pictures.
The cabbage rice I have written out the recipe.
Dev, I think if you used red chillie instead of green chillie,
your dish will look more beautiful

    Thanks Dev, take care. Kugan

    Cabbage rice (dev )

Dev, here is the cabbage rice. Kugan

    CABBAGE RICE

    Ingredients:

    1 tbs ghee or oil
    ½ tsp cumin seeds
    1 tsp channa dal
    ½ cup onions sliced

    To Grind To Paste:

    1 tsp ginger garlic paste
    2 green chillies chopped fine
    2 tbs grated coconut
    ½ tsp fennel seeds
    1 cardamom pod
    2 cloves
    1 small cinnamon stick
    Very little water

1 cup cabbage cut into little thick strips.
1 cup rice soak for 15 minutes and drain
    1 ½ cups of water
    Salt to taste

    Method:

Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
Add in the cumin seeds and let it splutter
Add in the channa dal, let it brown a little.
Add in the onions and saute for a minute.

Add in the ground paste, saute well till the raw smell goes.
Add in the cabbage and give a quick stir.
Now add in the drained rice, water and enough salt.

Keep the flame low and allow one whistle.
Off the flame and let the steam subside on its own.
Remove and fluff up the rice, serve with any raitha.

NOTE: I always only allow one whistle.
More than that rice will be kulanjify
