Had same kind of feeling immediately after watching Siruthai..but athu super hit aagalaiya, probably the biggest hit of Karthi....even Suraj's Padikkathavan irked a lot...but it went on to become a super hit.....so may be intha padamum niraya perukku pidikkalam

illanga...kandippa it wont..... I found Siruthai entertaining..... but this is a mind numbing bore..... sathyama it wont even come close to being called an average movie.....

Now Mapillai seems a much better movie....... As someone who watches almost all tamil movies that hits the screens,for me the closest competitor to Alex Pandian is Thiruthani !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont think it is a super hit.... but it did reasonably well at the box office due to Sun Pictures promotions and also because people had very little option due to the very poor content of Villu......
