NT has acted with several actress as his partner beginning with Pandari Bai in Parasakthi. I especially liked this couple in Gouravam - such a perfect couple they were!

But my all time favourite is Sivaji-Padmini! Who can foget the wonderful combo in Thillaana Mohanambal or Vietnam Veedu.

There were many others too from Saroja Devi, KR Vijaya (excellent in Thanga Pathakkam), Jayalalitha, Savithri (Praptham), Devika, Vanisree, Rajasri, Sowcar Janaki and many more.

Devika, ofcourse. Aandavan Kattalai oru padam podhum - the range of emotions that underline their interactions in that movie and the screenplay that dared to explore sensuality, though ofcourse it played it very safe and sound compared to later standards.

Also the fact that Sivaji-Devika stopped when it had to and dont raise nightmarish images like Sivaji-KR Vijaya(Silayai endhi varum thiruthro, neramidhu...) even though one might consider Sivaj-KRV in the context of Ooty Varai Uravu etc, particularly Selvam.

Sivaji-Padmini has a lot of significance in that the chemistry is more than onscreen. But I'd go for Devika nevertheless

Aandavan Kattalai! A film I have yet to watch still.

I was thinking of KR Vijaya of the 80s. Yeah by then all other earlier heroines were gone leaving such roles to KRV and Sujatha.
