    Me too for Dalton !

And I cannot recollect in which interview Micheal Cane talks about Clint Eastwood refusing James bond Role. And I have seen the interview of Clint Eastwood (can't remeber which one - I think its just after "Any Which Way You Can" or "Every Which Way but Loose" ... ) where he tells that he is NOT "Bond" type with a crooked smile

I wanted to ask : Why is "Casino Royale" by Peter Sellers and "Never say Never again" not considered as "Bond" series. Is it because of different production house or is their any other reason ?

Casino Royale: Fleming sold the rights to the book way back in '53 to someone else, it was made into a TV live play with Barry Nelson as Bond. Later Albert Brocolli and Harry Saltzman bought the rest of Fleming's book. When it took off after '62, interest cropped up to make Casino Royale by the then copyrights holder (Charles Feldman-nu nenekkiren), so they worked on a script, kept working, from serious became a spoof. They even invited Connery to play the Bond when he was in a temporary hiatus after '67 (You Only Live Twice), he was not interested. Then, they went ahead and shot the film with so many scriptwriters getting involved and many directors. It was never in Brocolli and Saltzman's EON production's hand till much later, when it was snapped up and Craig's version was done.

Never Say Never Again, a remake of Thunderball. Back in late 50s Fleming worked with two other guys on a screen treatment called Operations Thunderball, with Bond in it. Plan to shoot it got dropped. Fleming thought, what the hell, and used the treatment to write the novel, Thunderball. One of the co-writers of the treatment is Kevin McClory. He then sued Fleming for using story that he was also involved in. The court case that dragged was cited as one of the factors contributed to Fleming's death. Court said McClory also had the rights and gave him ten years.

They went and filmed the novel, Thunderball, with McClory agreeing to share producer credit. Of course, he was not happy, he kept renewing the rights to Thunderball for the following decades. Connery was interested in mid-70s, it came out in 1983. Under different company. That is why you don't hear Bond theme, or the logos in NSNA.

But now, all the films are under the same company. Still, these two are never accepted as part of the canon.

At 1:03? I like the very subtle synth theme at the end. Hope to see proper gunbarrel scene and theme.
