After her impressive debut in Katradhu thamizh, Anjali had to contend with the ordinary Aayudham SeivOm only to bounce back with her breathtaking performance in Angaadi theru

Her other films this year were Rettaichuzhi and Magizhchi. Even without having seen them one can reasonably guess that it is the films that struggle to use her.

Anjali had a whole range of emoting to do in AT. And it is not just azhugaachi as Roshan is saying, very subtle louus expressions, fear, uncertainty, 'ippo avasiyam therinjukkaNumO' controlled fuming after being molested by Venkatesh, helplessness in leaving her sister to a lousy fate, the station scene where she goes to dissuade her sister but ends up being half-convinced by the child...she had a lot of difficult, uncommon scenes to do. And she did an excellent job.
