!!!!!!! Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives. !!!!!!!!

A significant skill, ofcourse but not worthy of being in the company of sachin, lara et al in the same team. Do you need Bevan to salvage this team?
The Strike rate 69 is the clearest indicator of this.
Plum, you never know. A line up consisting of Sehwag, Gambhir, Dravid, Sachin was blown up by a not so great bowler just recently :P Bevan was never known as a hitter/slogger, but he gets the job done. I can't even think of anyone else in the place of Bevan at 6.
LM,
Inzi/aravindha have always been the leader of their batting line up. I think they can do whatever bevan can do and even better...if they have to play bevans role in this team - consolidation, with better strike rate.
So I think a person like Steve waugh - a solid captain , followed by gilli would suit this team better.

Inzamam and Aravinda haven't played at 6 much, right? It's a specialist position and I feel Bevan is more than a specialist. Honestly I don't see Aravinda or Inzi doing this. No disrespect meant to Aravinda/Inzi.
