Rahman: Never said sorry for anthem

Chennai: Days after reports emerged that he had apologized for the Games anthem as it turned out to be a disappointment, A R Rahman said he had no regrets over the number.

“I never said I was sorry... I only said that I was sorry some people did not like it,” Rahman told on Sunday.

“I scored the music for CWG bearing in mind whom I was catering to. It was meant for sports people, youngsters and an international audience,” he said.

While the international audience loved it, the older generation did not like it, he said.

“Criticism against the number came from those who compared it with spiritual music... they did not like it,” he said, adding that the song had Indian and international elements meant to rev up the sports fraternity.

dont set sky high expecations.

Its not an album release or concerts. It is to do with music and is
exclusive to us fans. Period.

Dear All,

There is an urgent requirement for an executive assistant / co-ordinator at AR's office in Chennai.

The candidate has to be preferably a female. Undergraduates can apply too. Should have good communication skills in Tamil & English and be able to multi-task.

Work timings will be 10 to 6 mon through sat and the position will report into Mrs Saira Rahman.

Salary will be in the range of 10-15 thousand depending on the candidate's profile/experience. Freshers can apply too.
