He's one of the great souls, whom i wud lk to follow in life......

ரஹ்மான் புகழ் பெறத்துவங்கி இருந்த காலத்தில் அவரிடம் இளையராஜா பற்றி கேட்கப்பட்ட போது அவர் சொன்னது " சினிமாவுக்கு வந்த புதுசில், எந்த இசை கலைஞரை பார்த்தாலும், குடியும் கூத்துமாக கும்மாளமாக இருப்பார்கள், சரி சினிமா காரர்களென்றாலே இப்படித்தான் போலிருக்கிறது என எண்ணிக்கொண்டேன், ஆனால் ராஜா சார் எந்த கெட்ட பழக்கமும் இல்லாமல் சுத்தமாக இருப்பார்." என்றார்.

பிறகு ஒரு சமயத்தில் ரஹ்மான் கோடிக்கணக்கில் சம்பளம் வாங்குவது பற்றி கேட்கப்பட்டபோது அவர் சொன்னது "இளையராஜா சார் நினைத்திருந்தால் தமிழ்நாட்டையே எழுதி வாங்கி இருப்பார்"

மேற்சொன்ன இந்த இரண்டு கருத்துக்களுக்காக மட்டுமே, இளையராஜா ரசிகர்கள் ரஹ்மானுக்கு வாழ்நாள் முழுக்க நன்றிக்கடன் பட்டவர்கள். போட்டி உலகில், எந்த விதத்திலும் குறைவில்லாமல் கோலோச்சிக்கொண்டு இருக்கும் ரஹ்மான் இப்படி பாராட்ட மிகப்பெரிய மனது வேண்டும்.

ரஹ்மானைப்பார்த்து எப்படி இசைப்பது என்று மட்டுமல்ல எப்படி பெருந்தன்மையுடன் இருப்பது (magnanimity) என்றும் கற்றுக்கொள்ளலாம். அது மட்டுமல்ல ரஹ்மானும் ஒழுக்கத்திற்கு உதாரணம் தான் அந்த வகையில் இந்த தலைமுறையில் இருந்து எல்லா வகையிலும் சரியாக நடக்கும் உதாரணமாக ரஹ்மான் இருக்கிரார்
