RCB's strategy was surprising. They have bought all the pacers. Zak,Unadkat,Aravind ,Pankaj Singh,Ravi Rampaul and Vinay Kumar in their kitty.

I think they are confident with their batting, they lost a lot of matches because of the 4th and 5th bowler (Vinay Kumar, Kohli etc).

OTOH, CSK's bowling looks settled, Hilfy, Jaddu, Ashwin, Albie, Bravo. I would say go for 1 really good fast bowler instead of two allrounders.
I saw that CSK has also signed B. Aparajith, one of the top guys from the U19 world cup winning team. Heard he is a good batsman and can bowl some spin too. More than spin, if he can bat consistently it will balance the team.

More than the bowling its their batting that let them down many times. They are too much dependent on Gayle and Kohli. The former's form has hit the rock bottom.

And in Indian pitches why so many pacers?

// Just saw the list of unsold players and was surprised at some players not being picked

Aaron Phangiso - Had an excellent CL T20, could be a handful in Indian conditions, Sunrisers who don't seem to have a quality left arm spinner could have gone for him

Ben Rohrer - Put in some match winning performances in the big bash, like what I've seen of him so far

Aaron Finch - Again was fantastic in the big bash, not sure how people rate Maxwell over him
