inetk has posted the 'poo vilangu' review by AV in the Murali obituary thread in TF section. That gave a glowing tribute to the intro actor (and some praise for intro director who was KB's assistant).

As usual, no mention of Raja in the review - he gave some nice songs there.

The heroine - Murali's first girl - was Kuyili who later turned into doing smaller roles (like dancing with Janagaraj for 'nilA adhu vAnaththu mElE' in nAyakan).

BTW, Geethanjali (Thamizh) that featured Murali and had great songs (oru jeevan azhaiththadhu, thuLLi ezhundhadhu pAttu, malarE pEsu mouna mozhi) was produced by R D Bhaskar, IR's brother, for Pavalar Creations.

So, their connection was a little more than hero-MD connection.
