Brilliant review groucho70. The best I have come across for this unsung movie.

Have watched this movie countless no. of times in TV/DVD .

The question of why such a movie hasn't done well in BO haunts me even today. Ethiroli's success would have ensured few more classics under NT-KB combination, which we really missed for ever.

Thanks Mahesh No matter what reasons given, it shouldn't have flopped.

Nice title sequence preceeding AmbigayE song, with MSV's voice. Pretty unique too, the way they show still of NT only in parts. And of course:

Thankyou very much for uploading the photos.all the above photos were taken in aruna theatre.by the time i reached ajantha theatre it was around 7.00 pm and the pictures i took were not clear.In ajantha the garlands were much more bigger and thicker,kumaresan sir was telling that they garlanded the cutout up to dawn of the next day.I hope he will upload ajantha theatre photos very soon

I bought Sathyam Sundaram movie long back but I felt bored so kept it back after few months I saw this movie first 25 minutes was bore but enter the lion (NT with his favourite pair) KR Vijaya madam the movie became better. Nt is sundaramoorthy & KR Vijaya as Sathya that too NT addressing KR Vijaya as Sathya is a real treat to watch. KR Vijaya responding to that is equally good. Nt in fight sequences gives nice alaparai( Who wants 2 get married without hands out 3 hench man goes , Who wants to die ( 3 ppl goes) Vangada muttrum thurandha Mundangala & fight

Nt teaching English (5 letter English) to Sripriya Sripriya Spraying on NT face (while saying Kovama Shut up), teaching her nuances of High society culture , defnition for club dance , drinks ( Omma water kooda Drinks bottle la kudutha thaan sapiduvanga) . NT explanation @ last for his acts is a master piece.
Many people say that Nt overacts but when Nt acts sublte like this we say that Nt do not act like before.
U can observe his walk in this movie will be like a careless middle age man different from all his movies

Rude shock that this movie is underated and not much talked about though it is a 100day movie(Source:Autobiography of Sivaji)

2 neighbours SriPriya & Madavi get married to Vijayakumar& Jaiganesh respectively. Vijayakumar wants a high fi life & wife while Sripriya is conservative and Jaiganesh & Madhavi is exactly opposite. Enter NT & Kr Vijaya to solve the problems of Sripriya & Madhavi NT & Kr are no one to them & they don't reveal their identity . Why they do these on their own form the climax a true family drama watch out for Nt subtle acting & sheer screen space to get the other dimension of NT acting
