Listening to Malayalam Raja. 'nadaswaram kaetto' from 'Ponmudipuzhayorathu'. What an underrated and not oft heard song. Fantastic orchestration.
Was listening to 'Cheeni Kum' and 'Kannukkul Nilavu' on a long drive yesterday. "Cheeni Kum' especially made me think what is all this hulla about synthesizer. All three songs are as good as the originals!!

Great pick Suresh ji from Ponmudipuzhayorathu! One of my malayalam favorites.
Cheeni Kum as you rightly pointed out, it will not sound like a rehash at all. Regarding synthesizer, as everyone felt, may be the recording at Bombay made a big difference on its effect.

Thanks a lot vinatha. You came up with a great one-liner, "Purity of Raja's music is peerless", you said it all.
Maestro's honey dripping humming with wonderful Bass backing, sweet flute backed up by Keyboard chords and Guitar strumming followed by Guitar Broken Chords , Counterpoint between Bass and Flute and then between Bass and Guitar

Thanks to kv for introducing this mindblowing BGM piece to me.
Wov superb, intha paatta videola parkkalaiyE appdingura kavalai konjam theernthathu . Hair raising experience in ludes ofcourse in every bit of this song.
'uRavukaL thodarkadhai' on repeat in the car!
What a lovely voice, the young KJY! What simple but sweet orchestration by rAsA (my favourite kind of drum sounds). He has used some kind of electronic organ like strings in the first interlude and it's so lovely to listen to. Obviously, piano & flute are the backbone of this song which take us back to those days instantly! Great bass score as well
