ஷோபா சந்திரசேகரன் (விஜய் அம்மா) இயக்கிய படங்களில் ஒன்று.
மெல்லிசைக்கச்சேரி குழுவினர் குறித்த படம். வட இந்திய ஹீரோவும், வட இந்திய ஹீரோயினும் (மம்தா குல்கர்னி என்று ஞாபகம்.) நடித்த படம்.
விவேக் முழு நீள காமெடியனாக நடித்த முதல் படம் என்று நினைக்கிறேன். #2 பாடல் எஸ்.பி.பியுடன் ஷோபா சந்திரசேகரன் பாடியுள்ளார். நியாயமாக உமா ரமணன் பாடி இருக்க வேண்டிய பாடல். அந்தப்பாடலின் திருஷ்டிப்பொட்டு அது தான். மற்ற படி இனிமையான பாடல்கள் நிறைந்த படம்.

Via my friend Rajeev on twitter, now listening to this song, 'mogha sangeetham'. The very start tells you that this is a 70s Raja song. The guitar work is amazing as usual, as is the very simple and catchy tune. I am sure songs like these ensure people like Plum stay rooted in this late 70s period. (Honestly I don't know if this is indeed a late 70s movie but the music suggests it.)

Just noticed that the youtube link that I had given is a channel of kssuka, who happens to be the director of 'Padithurai'. He seems to have uploaded some lovely songs here. Some of the songs are listed by the ragas in which they are composed. This channel is worth subscribing to.

just went on a trip to "manavaadu land" and came up with this gem. first time i am hearing this song.. Very nice rhythm and nice string works in the first interlude - so typical 90s Raaja..
