We do not know the movie making processes, still one wonders why Mysskin went into recording himself that folk song and earned IR's ire. Also, there was no way this movie could have accommodated 'kai veesi'.

Nice experience watching the movie, as usual BGM - only IR possible!

I think the name of the female singer is Sarala.

This is a Karthik Raaja composition. He used it in Hindi film Grahan (sung by Abhijeet and Asha Bhonsle).

actually its copied(or taken) from Ilayaraja's "Netru Vandha kaatru" song from movie Kanmani released in the year 1994..

IMDB states that Grahan movie released in 2001. But I remember purchasing Grahan audio in 1998.

But either way both movie and audio were released after 1994, which was the year when Kanmani released.
