Great post App on Pandi Naattu Thangam song. You nailed it on how Maestro shows the difference and variety when it comes to folk that too in the same year. No relation whatsoever. I am not sure if the movie was a hit compared to others in the list, but the songs were huge hits. I remember seeing this film in Devi Kala. Only for Maestro. By this time, we got used to Karthik's monotonous acting. My favorite being siru koottile and un manasula, Chitra's signature songs. In fact, I recorded every song. That was my biggest hobby those days (even before listening). Memorable songs!

paandi naattu thangam was a super dooper hit movie ran well in all A-B-C centers. I remember seeing its 175, 225 days of celebration in Dinathanthi and Dinakaran.
