Anyone have any idea of how to install tamil fonts in the android OS?

Reiterating the matter posted in Kon Soheb thread. IPhone is the best. Android ellam velaikkavadhu, not yet. Munna pinna futures (features) irukkalaam, doesn't matter. Anyone who has used both phones will know this. :nonsense: :rascals:

rooted or not rooted?

Rooted devices -> www.tamiloviam.com/site/?p=1803
Non rooted -> Install Opera Mini, then type in the browser addressbar -> about:config, go to last option, enable the Bitmap fonts by changing to "Yes" & Save. Don't forget to use ONLY OperaMini when you want to view tamil fonts. For typing tamil fonts, use the App Tamil Visai

Build - S2
Reliability - S2 (iPhone hangs quite frequently esp. when receiving a call)
Usability - iPhone (extremely intuitive)
Thamizh - iPhone (Havent tried sakala's link above)

Overall I like iPhone actually, but points 1 an 2 are major irritants.
