Watched 'How to Train your Dragon' this weekend on a DVD. Amazing experience! Breathtaking visuals and graphics! Especially I loved the background score by John Powell (Nominee this (last) year). A deserving winner. Need to purchase the soundtrack. How was the score for The Social Network (which won the academy this year)? Only thing I didn't like about the movie is the title. First time when I heard this title, I guessed as some 'Making of some film' or some tutorial/documentary. They could have named the movie better.

This is my most favorite OST in the last few years. It's a pity John Powell didn't get the award

Wow! Good to hear that LM! Thanks. Normally, I don't focus much on background score whenever I see a movie for the first time, fearing to lose the actual content. But this movie, I cannot separate the BGM from the movie. Everytime I felt Powell whispering to me, hear this score and hear that. A fantastic score. I even watched the whole end credit, just for the score. Just amazing! It too feel that this score should have got the award , without even listening to TSN score, assuming this would certainly surpass that one.

    Nerd,

Hum Tum is the official remake of WHMS. No idea about BBB.

Confessions. பேஜாராயிட்டேன் :shaking-head: One of the Oscar contenders.

Is the high school scene in Japan so grim? I wonder what the inspiration for such a story could have been. Manami’s episode left me sad – the cruelty of it all, the way it was presented, the kid who played Manami – everything, very well realized.

The film has got such style – the slo-mos & cuts (brings the classroom sparklingly alive – a bit over done but), the stimulating soundtrack - that I watched it again to revisit every aspect of it.

Twenty minutes into the film and never could I divert my attention. Worth a watch. Be warned of freaky violence.
