Renner is a good choice for best supporting actor award. Too bad he will lose to Bale for The Fighter. Ben Affleck has the material for a good director.
    I liked it too..

I watched Cape Fear yesterday as well and did not like it. Maybe the original version was good but not planning to watch that either because of this one.

He made a family drama that speculates the potential near-breakdown of relationships and fallible ethics of a decidedly 'good' state serving citizen, all while sacrifycing the dynamics of suspenseful thriller.

    thanxu bro.

hmm yeah, was expecting to be on the thriller side. breakdown of relationships part ellaam ok ok, nick nolte part n some of the decisions he makes thaan konjam clarity illaadha maadhiri irundhuchu. felt like kind of a wandering script. the buildup to the climax, climax in itself ellaam very un-Scorsese like.

btw, wherz the thread that was there for the man?

Funny video. How a question on Brad Pitt - Angelina jolie marriage intertwines with Damon and an Italian Journalist ending up in George clooney becoming Gay.

    Hilarious stuff.

Due date - The only WOW thing about the film is about 3 minutes of psychedelia with zack high on weed, driving, with all windows closed and locked. Which in turn makes his passenger (Downey Jr) high as well with all the smoke. And what better song than Floyd's to play in the background. Goosebumps guaranteed even for a non-Floyd fan. Picked up a six pack right after

Anyway some jokes worked, some dint, overall a nice watch. Downey and Zack did very well as expected..

It worked for me. A thoroughly entertaining 90+ minutes.

Two great performances. Loved the part when Zack, playacting as the coach, takes the call of his wife asking for divorce (improv suggested by Downey). It's actually that 'poignant' look, the sign of a man in depression, that makes Zack what he is, I suppose.

Oh, forgot the dog. If there's an Oscar for animals, it'd get a well-earned 'nod'
