    I didn't mean to point out this as a drawback at all....I wanted to write a full fledged review of the movie, but ended stopping midway...Coming back..Even I felt bringing in the genetics angle was a welcome change..But the villain's character overall was too shallow and you feel something's a miss in the end. The romance was handled particularly well ( I liked the guys 500 days of summer too)..

    Exactly...Felt the shadow of the first movie was too much on this film...Actually Spiderman 4 was in pipeline with with Sam Raimi at the helm again...But Sony and Sam had a fall out leading to Sony announcing the reboot....
