After a long time I see a genuine lover of music with no bias in you ... the choices you mentioned is just as genuine heart-to-heart .. some of the songs I've never gave them a chance... Munthinam Partheyney was a revelation (Manadhi Adiyil.. Maya ..just rocks!) .. I am gonna look forward to more posts from you..

Thanks NOV for starting this thread..I was about to burn a CD .so this is gonna help me . Given VTV,Paiya,Goa .. my heart skips a beat for Nan Pogiren. Well from the list I wud say that the following songs have been left out

So far only "mannippAyA" for me. A very poor year for melodies as far as I am concerned. Heard the much appreciated Angaadi Theru last week - oNyum thEralai - go ahead, call me tone deaf
(Tamizh padam with that gibberish song wrapped in a melody gets a vengala kiNNam. Infact, even the kuthu song and the sooravaLi were fab - who is this Kannan?)

I felt the melody was quite good and the backgrounds were fitting. Naan Pogiren didn't do much for me, especially the deja vu feel.
