    SK: As I mentioned earlier I know a lot of songs , but not the movies! As far as possible I will identify the movie. This because I left India in 1965 and did not see many Tamil movies, especially old movies until I subscribed to Sun TV a couple of years back. That is also the reason why I seek Saravanan's help.

    Raj, sorry for this belated response.

    The HMV cassette of Devadas credits 'O Devadas' to K.Rani, but I too feel it is Jikki. Rani has sung the other duet with Ghantasala 'uRavum illai pagaiyum illai', and also the solo 'ellaam maayai thaana'.

    Raj, my favorite song from the film is the other KRR/Jikki duet 'senthamizh naattu sOlaiyilE sindhu paadithiriyum poonkuyilE'. Jikki's opening humming sets the tone for this caressing song!

    A million thanks for posting this wonderful song of Jikki with KRR!! Pl. read my posting on this in the other thread with KRR! Is it a coincidence or what! I am so glad that it is remembered here! To know that KKD is the lyricist adds to its flavor! Thanks again.
