Somebody create a thread for Non-Hindi, Non-Tamil movies made from India. I guess Plum will be more than willing to do so.

    Vk murthy. Good one p-r.

Excellent name for thread and a very good poll.
As of now, I think nri subjects have dwindled, item songs are not that much of a problem, and even the geometriv love storied are getting to dev-d proporrtions.
The problem really is the south bombay sensibility over-reaching - whether in the protagonist light in the bakeup sits or antagonist light in pandhalkaaran's movies.

Sreenivasan: I am a big fan of yours.
<pause> seema smiles and there's a loosening up expression
Sreenivasan continues: Yeah, big big fan; I have seen avaLudE rAvugaL 29 times

Irfan-Konkana segment in Life in a Metro
Only slighly above average writing actually
But excellent acting lifts it to great heights

    Irfan crying in the beach
    "nahin miloonga"

and talking about his ladoo friend "he known to operate net"

    One helluvan actor

Waqt nE kiyA paattu pArthAlE, padam paartha maadhiri.

But some excellent B/W frames. Series of opening shots in the cinema hall - I recall being highly impressed.

Cambli, I took this advice and went searching for this post. Instead, I landed here - and I had to share this comment that cracked me up.

OK, we all like to make fun of SRK, but this bloke has done it the best way - sreegandh as SRK equivalent

Indeed! How much ever the director is serious about the remake, the casting is worse enough to nullify it all.

no 6 pack, iyam moserbaer 2 pack VCD .....

watched rocket singh - very disappointing.......very naive and sloppy.......there was hardly any timing in the dialogues - Jaideep Sahni ........chak de! though is a bit twisted to convenience - evalavu crisp-a irukkum ....there were couple of detailing while setting up the "fresher in sales office" milieu were eye catching.......thats it, other than that, narration was just promises of a good director but he broke the promises too often with oscillating story points....there were couple of superb performances - sales manager nitin(Naveen kaushik) and MD Puri (Naresh Chodhary - the guy who comes in ads).........

Ranbir kapoor - thaadi vechha kalli .........he had 2 express only 3 emotions throughout the movie, awe, despair and triumph.........i couldnt find any difference in wake up sit and this performance.........rishi kapoor payyanukku idhu podhum
