I'd like Bala to listen to "Roja ondru ullangaiyil poothadhu" from ????? and post a few comments on it. Very sophisticated - I suspect the presence of rock elements.

I think Cambli wrote a one liner on this long back. I wanted to bring this to Fala Garthig's attention for long - this is a good opportunity

excellent song from Malaysia and Janaki.. The beauty of the pallavi is whenever Malaysia finishes his line there is an " aa" in between to add "erotic" sense to the song. Janaki ellam idha paadum podhu siri siri nu sirichirupaanga.. Just wondering how Raaja would have asked her to say "aa" "oo" etc.

Ofcourse, thalaivar and Ambiga added more spices to this song.. oh.. we are talking only abt Raaja here.. sorry

The best of the lot is ponmEni urugudE .. enna song-ya. I love the beats of the song and its a easy for any drummer or even a bench tapper to get the beat right. .. again Janaki - excellent

Very coincidentally when I read your post 'roja ondru' is playing on my system. The CD I have has 'manidanin marupakkam' and 'o mane mane'. Lovely songs in both of them.
