I found in most songs IR has used fast beats to pep the otherwise pathos or urugal flavour which SR has. Specifically raja raja thaan comedy flavour which vel had mentioned.

and oh usha...ponnnn mane .. ingayum drums use panni he has given the peppy boost. "kaithiyaay nirkiren "vaaaa" , oodal enbathu kaathalin gauravan "poo"vaa and po both has kenjchal and konjchal. Athe tune gets compatible enough for both.

IMHO SR suits all moods, well almost all moods. pathos, affection, pining, love, affection not to mention devotion.

aana lust and SR...well...hmm...not my choice. hmm well I always disliked the song "naan pooveduthu" for unknown reasons.

3. something is NOT complete, may be lust and sr dont gel?

theriyala. I shall listen to other songs depicting the same mood and let u know.

I listened to "naan pooveduthu" with lil more concentration probably for the first time now. Towards anupallavi and sharanam...hmm...good...not bad.. or may be u get used to it

and how can I not mention MY FAV sr songs

1. avaL oru menakai... from "nakshatram"
2. vaa vaa anbe anbe (thanks vel)
3. devi...devi...thenill...kulithen (naan adimai illai)

and lot others
