Engeh poi kola podi theduven.
Back to old style of using rice.
I doubt one can get kola podi in Malaysia.
Good Selviem you are back for duty after guests and things.
We start again with our cooking adventure.

Oh my god, big story for the kolam podi. poor guy, i feel pity for him. two years back i went to india in the month of january. my kids stayed with my parents, everyday my mom drew kolam (margali masam) and did colouring too. so my sons packed kolam powder, colour too. we were caught in the airport. i explained the custom people. they checked and they refused. my sons told, uncle that is drawing powder we dont get in our place. we want to carry it with us. then they allowed to carry. so i drew only on the function days. i keep the kolam for a week.

Kuganka,kolam photova post panni u have made look back to my school days.U know onething kuganka,during my school days ,hmm,i mean frm my 9 th to 12th std specifically,my mom used to wake me up in btw,5.30 to 6.00Am and she will ask me to clean the front part(Vasal) and put the kolam.
Time thaan mukkiyam ammaku,time dealy aachu apdina ,sridevi veetuku varamatta,apdi,ipdinu sart panniduvanga.Veetla tapela suprabatham padutho illaiyo amma pada aarmbichuduvanga.
nanum kanna lesa mudikitte,thookam kalaiyama kolatha pottukittu,thirumba vanthu paduthuduven.
Since she cant bend after her operation that's the only work she will ask me to do daily.Apart frm that no work for me.Nice mom.
Now missing her a lot after marriage,have to do all the works.Akka,amma teach panni kolam pottu niraiya prize ellam vaangi iruken.Thanks for making me remember those pleasant and sweet days akka.Thanks a lot.Am very happy today.Illati inge irukura busy workla athu ellam pathy ninaika neram irukathu.

thayir kuzhambu will go well with dosai too. But traditionally ppl eat it with rice only...
Pongal menu... that is our usual menu whnever we do ammavasai prayers... cooking ellam amma...naan just helper...
