5 specilaities of Deekshidhar krithi are
1. choice of words (Mayatheeta for instance in this song)
2. Samashti charanam (with out Anu Pallavi or pallavi to charanam)
3. raga mudra
4. guruguha
5. madhyama kaala sahityam
Shri Rajam former PRICINPAL OF MADRAS MUSIC ACADEMY IN 1940 stayed for three yearS at POONJAR PALACE taught my relative BHAWANI CHECHI. She clearly remembers that this Krithi was taught to her by Shri Rajam as Deekshidhar's. (NOTED musican/composer KAITHAPRAM DAMODARAN NAMPOOTHIRI is her disciple) The above five qualities of Deekshidhar is evident in this work as well.
Then, how this work became Ponnaih/Tanjore Quartette's?
I am doing a small work on this and after completion i will post it.

My reasons: This song mAyAtIta svarUpiNi is not in any of the published works of Dikshitar's songs- for example: the following books
Kritimanimalai by Rangaramanuja Iyengar volume 3, tamil edition
Dikshita kirtanamala volumes 1 -14 by Vinai A.Sundaram Iyer
Muttusvami Dikshitar (Index given at the end of book) by Dr.V.Raghavan
Sangita Sampradaya Pradarshini by Subbarama Dikshitar
It is found in the following books and credited to the Tanjavur Quartette.
Adi Sangita Rasarnavam by K.V.Srinivasa Iyengar - M.Adi & Co
Tanjai Peruvudaiyan Perisai by Sangita Kalanidhi K.Ponniah Pillai
If you wish to see these in print, I can scan the pages and email them to you.
Sri Rajam is still in Chennai and he can confirm what I have posted.
You can also post this query on rasikas.org forum and carnatica.net forum to find out if it is by TQ.
