Vishnuvardhan has been really loved by Kannada movie fans ... He has acted in Tami films too ... notable are Sri Raghavendra along with Super Star Rajnikanth ...

    Just wanted to add this - I fight shy of posting in this thread(there must be some psychological explanation to this) but just wanted to note that just a day prior to this, C Ashwath, a singer and music director of repute in Kannada, passed away. Double whammy for Kannada cinema.
    To those who wonder why we must notice C Ashwath here, my knowledge of him stems from Ilaiyaraja's reference to him. Ashwath sang the bengali boatman prelude to "nAn ganga nadhiyai pArkum pozhudhu" in Mahanadhi.

    "maajhi" is boat. The last line seems to be asking "where are you taking me, oh boat". meedhi lyrics parse paNNi ezhudhi dhAn translation paNnanum.
