And in defense of vijay i would also like to add something. Most if not all of vijay fans would admit that sura in no way showcased vijay's b.o power. We consider it either as flop, or at best an average movie. We understand that sura didn't do well, so there is absolutely no need for you to post comments such as the one you did.

Let me give you the figures for Vettaikaran (released dec 18, 2009, not that much prior to the start of 2010) which we (vijay fans) think better highlights vijay's b.o power. Again I think most of vijay fans will still say that even vettaikaran wasn't his best.

I don't want to discuss surya or singam here, since i don't know much about him or whether singam is regarded as one of his best in terms of BO. But i do TAKE THE TIME to understand about vijay and his movies so im commenting here.

Being 3rd in his lean period is not too shabby at this time I must admit . It's ok the year is not over yet.

If one has survived 50 Long Years in the Industry with such a STARDOM IMAGE these 'Low-Budger', 'Art-Movie' doesnt have any Impact @ the BO.It can be compared with any other MAINSTREAM FILM
