apdilaam illa prabha.. i feel this song can still be interpreted in lot of other ways and mine incomplete

Background.. two couples are singing this song in their firstnight after both the women get angry (summa lululaaku :P ) for some silly reason.. the song alternates between both the couples and then the couples settle down one by one

First pair:

this line is to the moon:
aththikkaai kaai kaai aalangaai vennilave
andha disai nokki oli veesu vennilave ( bcos my girl is feeling you are partial to me )
hidden meaning: she is furious, so you might probably cool her down
here aalangaai title is given to moon to denote lovers will come and go but moon is permanent and has been witnessing these things for millions of years
this line is to his love:
iththikkaai kaayadhe ennuyirum neeyallavo
ennai paarthu kaayadhe ( dont scold ) dont you know you are my soul :P

kannikkaai aasaikkaai kaadhalkonda paavaikkaai
indha penn kobamaga irukkiraal, aasaiyaga un mel kaadhal konda paavai (penn) ippozhudhu koobamaaga irukkiraal
here paavaikaai also denotes the bitterness ( her unhappiness )
angekaai avaraikaai mangai endhan kovaikkaai
andha pakkam paar, avarai thittu, ennudaya kovaipazham pondra idhazhgalum (lips) kaaiyaaga marrivittana kobathaal
avarikaai is also a crowned vegetable.. in the sense, every avarikkai will have small flower sticking to its head.. so she is using avaraikkaai to indicate her king

madulangkaai aanaalum ennulam kaai aagumo
madhulam pazham is an ultimate looking fruit, even that fruit is no match to the fruit (the girl) i have in my heart :P
hidden meaning: maadhu (his girl) ullam kaai aanaalum, enadhu ullaam kaai aagumo - nee ennai veruthaalum, naan unnai verukka iyalaadhu

to the moon:
iravukkaai uravukkaai engum indha yezhaikkaai
indha iravukkaagavum :P (bcos its their firstnight), indha uravukkaagavum :P (they got married that day), yengugindra indha yezhaikkaaga

ennai thittaadhe, neeyum naanum ore jaadhidane (bcos moon takes its poower from sun and woman takes her status from her man )

yelakkaai madhiri vaasanaiyaaga engal ullangal vaazhavadharkku vaazhthu
another meaning is people should talk about them like say, what a pair etc
jaadhikkaai kettadhupol thanimai inbam kaniyakkaai
jaadhigalai ozhithadhu pol, engal iruvarukkum idaiye ulla prachanaigalai ozhithu, engal iruvaraiyum thanimaiyile inimaiyaaga irukka vaazhthu

sonnadhellaam vilangaayo thoodhuvilangaai vennilaa
idhu varai sonnadhellaam unakku puriyalaiyaa.. ye vennilaave, neeyaavadhu avalidam thoodhu sendru vilakku..
here vilaangaai is used to denotes hardness (her heart is hardened) and thoodhuvilangai is a item used in medicine (meaning probably she requires some treatment for her mental illness)

ullam ellaam milagaayo adhanaal thaan ovvoru vaarthaiyum ippadi kaaramaaga irukkiradho

kodhai enai kaayadhe kotravarangaai vennilaa
ennai yen kaaikiraai vennilaa, kotravanai (mannanai ie her man) poi kaai
kotravarangaai is used to denote the moon is lean and mean and hence it is only advising her and not him
iruvaraiyum kaayaadhe thanimaiyilekaai vennilaa
engal iruvaraiyume nee paarka vendaam (bcos truce has been worked out and they have to carry on with firstnight, so dont peep and disturb us )

donno.. but since ilayaraja himself is saying that was a tune by GKV in a kannada film and he was the lead guitarist.. I guess the tune may not be by ilayaraja
