    saradha.. romba azhaga ezhudhi irukkinga.. sanga ilakkiyangalil irundhu kavignar ezhudhiya veru sila paadal varigal irundhaal, adhaiyum post seyyungal.. naangal padithu payan peruvom :P

    murali sir.. well written.. there are innumerable songs on finer aspects of love by kavignar

    I didn't get the connection.

    Inclined think as Plum said,that the character is a meek one and Kannadasan wrote the lines appropriately

    Ok. You mean saradha's interpretation ?
    வை is also இடையினம். Well I am nitpicking.

    mgb's explanation of கிண்டல் seems appealing. Just wanted to know if indeed the characterization were like that.

    And anyway, in case it didn't seem adequately clear, I was kidding.

    Once I was discussing a pAsuram with a reverend elder when he asked why I thought a particular word was used there. I said அழகா இருக்கு, அதே சமயம் எதுகைக்கும் சரியா வந்திருக்கு. He was outraged I could suggest something like that and ventured into the importance of the choice of the particular word. Since then I have usually been very careful.

    aval kangal melum keezhum asaindhu "aam" endru sollumbodhu eppadi nam thalai asaiyumo adhu pol ulladhaam.. aval idai valadhu pakkamum idadhu pakkam asaindhu "illai" endru sollumbodhu eppadi nam thalai asaiyumo adhu pol ulladhaam :P
