Just comparing the first 5 movies isn't a useful indicator at all for someone like Surya. There is something called "showing promise." And that happened to Surya much later. The question is, does Prasanna show as much promise as Surya right now?

Of course, one can argue that Prasanna will find himself in the coming years and all that. We just have to wait to validate such claims.

Between Madhavan and Surya, I've to say I've changed my opinions quite a bit over the past couple of years. I used to rate Surya significantly higher than Madhavan, but not anymore. One aspect where I trust Surya more is that he singlehandedly makes some films watchable for me. This hasn't happened as often with Madhavan for me.

adhaan vikki, naanum solren - i wouldnt call Ajith as next kamalhassan or the most promising when there are so many talented guys.....

ofcourse, but the ascent or the talent that other guys displayed in their initial movies is much more than surya, which automatically rejects his claim for "best amongst the new" - thats my arguement.....

i meant the initial spark shown by these guys - prasanna, dhanush, madhavan etc is much more than surya in initial days......when surya can grow on to become what he is now, then dont u think the others would outgrow him in the same amount of time......ada onnu rendu peraavadhu, surya-va better panna maattainga?? then how he is considered the best?

Never said that. And there are lot more negative comments already there. What is the point in bringing again and again all actors here.

We several times had did that. Even there was a separated thread from this same thread for comparision. Though some are interested there are some who does not want so at least in the respective threads.

If you guys want we can have a separate thread for comparision.

If there are other threads also with such comparisions do let us know.
