To quote from my older posts "I think kunnakkudi is one of the most successful MD's who crossed-over from pure canatic to films. I like many of his filmy tunes. Several of them were lilting - especially the very light classical numbers".

Today's picks are two fine examples of this. Note his violin delineations in Song 1, and, for raga enthusiasts, how he brings out the gist of the ragas beautifully in Song 2 (It's a ragamalika - the raga names are there in the lyrics).

I don't know much about the movie apart from the stars TNS & Nalini. Madhu,RC or anyone can post story or at least the song situations? Tks.
