    Neel D -

Koyamuththur must be one jolly town!
Thanks for featuring this solo. I think it would be fair to say that instead of the scale pacing VJ, it is VJ that paces the scale! Thaen Poovae Poovae Vaa is a nice duet from the same film.

"Chinna idaiyaith thaedum, idhazhaith thaedum, manivizhi neelam..." is a lovely line from Ilaigal Meedhum...
    Vaanam, Sevvaanam also lingers.

    baroque, thanks.
    Jack, you are welcome.
Naaz, Koyamuththur sure is a jolly town.

    A quiz for all:
There is one thing common between the films "Sumangali" and "Anbulla Rajinikanth". Well, there are more than one. But I am looking for a cute one. Please post your answers.

ir's the king in these type of perfectly tuned fast paced foottappers like ilankuyile, eg aadi maasam kathadikka, vettu vaddippom paattu padippom.

Here's the not so weird part: S-G seem to riff on one of their own orginals. Doesn't Ilaigal have something of Paadu Thendralae in it?

    siththar kUda (Uchakattam)

    Pick #718

    Song: siththar kUda
    Film: Uchakattam
    Music: Shankar-Ganesh
    Singer: S.P.Balasubramanyam
    Lyrics: ?
    Year: 1980

Shankar-Ganesh hit the jackpot with this song. Not to mention the support of the lyricist and SPB.

"Uchakattam" was a thriller directed by Rajbharath starring Sarathbabu and Sunitha. The film received great reviews and was more than moderately successful at the box office. Rajbharath went on make a few more not-so-successful thrillers and then disappeared.
