But I liked his action.
He came only for shaving cream and not for soap. IMO, if cricket is so popular in India it is only because of him. Others might have contributed but Kapil's contribution is too huge and to beat the real champs like West Indies you need singlemindedness and courage. Whenever India in dire straits, he only brought India out of trouble most of times than any other cricketer in their career. Look at his great knocks. Every one came at the crucial time and most of them were match winning ones. He is the true crisis man.

As i was saying to PR, LM, HR and Rama the other day, Kapil Dev, with all due respect to him and his feats, is overrated

CR,
That's your opinion. No problem for me. Don't run away. You can stay here. :P

I don't think so. If not for the dead pitches that we have/had, he could have had a much better record (contribution). He looks a natural cricketer (atleast to me). Whatever he does, it seems to come easily to him.
But, I agree that he wasted his batting abilities, with thoughtless application.
His last couple of years was pathetic (sticking on to get past Richard Hadlee).

Thappa nenaikka vendaam. I agree. In fact, no matter how precarious the situation is for India in a particular day, avar mugatha paatha oru nambikkai varum. No two ways about it. Enga enaku problem na... ok, too much is being made out of that world cup win.
Anyway, namma thread ilakku veru, dhisai thirumbaamal sellovum, sorry
